This Privacy Policy explains how Gigbolt LLC ("Gigbolt," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Gigbolt, our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Gigbolt is a hiring marketplace that connects film and video crew with producers.
Who can use Gigbolt
Gigbolt is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, and a username. You may sign in with Google, Apple, or email.
Profile information: photos, headline and bio, roles and departments, credits, day rates, union status, availability, and an approximate home location used to show distance.
Content you create: reels (short videos), messages you send in chats, swipes, and matches.
Identity verification: if you choose to verify your identity, a government ID and a selfie may be processed by our verification provider; we do not store the ID images ourselves.
Purchase information: subscription status; payment card details are handled by Apple, Google, or our payment processor and are not stored by us.
Device and usage information: app interactions, and push-notification tokens if you enable notifications.
How we use information
To create and operate your account and profile; to power discovery, matching, chat, and reels; to process subscriptions and entitlements; to keep the Service safe, including moderating content and enforcing our Terms; to send you service messages and, if enabled, push notifications; to diagnose problems and improve the Service.
Service providers we share information with
We use trusted providers to run the Service; they process information only to provide their services to us: Google Firebase (authentication); Cloudflare R2 (photo and file storage); Stream (chat messaging); Mux (video hosting for reels); RevenueCat and Apple (subscription management on iOS); Stripe (web-billed subscriptions and, if used, identity verification); Google Cloud Vision (content moderation for uploaded images); Sentry (error monitoring); Mapbox or Photon (location lookup). We do not sell your personal information. We may share information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of our users.
Photos and public content
Your profile photo and profile details are shown to other members so they can decide whether to connect with you. Résumés and other private documents are stored privately and are only shared through short-lived, access-controlled links.
Your choices and rights
Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app; when you do, we remove your personal information and stored files, keep a short tombstone period to reverse accidental deletion, and then permanently purge the data.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): where applicable, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. After you delete your account, we retain a tombstone for a limited window (currently about 30 days) to allow reversal of mistaken or fraudulent deletions and to meet legal obligations, then we permanently delete it.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date.
